Initial Posting

Today I launch my new blog. For years I have had conversations with myself about the way our world has been changing and we along with it - for better or worse. The conversations have been with myself, because (1) I haven't been brave enough to share, (2) I didn't think my circle of friends would have been interested (this part is changing now), and (3) I didn't have the energy or time to set my thoughts down on paper.

My grandmother was a fascinating woman and she thought she lived through fascinating times. I was fortunate to have her put some of her story on tape, but I really wish I had been able to set down all her musings on her changing times. I know that social anthropologists would have been fascinated.

That said, I will post my musings here from time to time. I hope my readers find them interesting and that someday my thoughts will help others better understand our times.
